Cycle Ally

Bring facts to your doctor.

A log for PCOS and PMOS. Cycles of any length, the medications you take, the symptoms you notice — and one page you can hand over at your next appointment. Your data stays on your iPhone.

For anyone living with PCOS or PMOS — and for anyone whose cycles are long, unpredictable, or absent, whether or not anyone has named it yet.

The Today screen: day 10 of the cycle, her own range of cycle lengths, six tiles for logging the day, and this week.

Three months on one page.

Your own cycle lengths. The symptoms you rated most often, each with the number of days you actually logged. Your medications with their dose changes. And, first on the page, the questions you wrote down for this visit.

How the summary works →

The summary screen, showing the clinician summary about to be made.

Any cycle length. No countdowns.

Cycles of 24 days and cycles of 94 days are both just days here. The app shows your own numbers — “Your cycles: 31–52 days” — and compares you to nothing you did not ask for. Nothing happens when a period has not started.

Every day, as you logged it
The calendar: a month of days, period days filled by how much was logged.
Your own counts, never a verdict
Cycle lengths as bars: 52, 38, 45, 31, 74, 41 and 36 days, with the line “6 cycles: 31–52 days”.
Medications with dose history
A medication card with its dose history and side effects.

What it does

One tap on a busy day; everything else when you have the time.

One tap a day

Started, ended, spotting, symptoms, mood, a note — or “nothing today”, which is an answer and counts as one.

Your own trackers

A scale, yes and no, a number in your own unit, or your own options.

Labs with their own range

The bounds your laboratory printed, kept as printed. Two laboratories line up on one chart with Plus.

Visits

What you want to ask, written down over weeks — and what was said.

What it never does

  • No verdicts about your cycles.
  • No countdowns, no streaks, no percentage filled in.
  • No diets, no calories, no numbers from a scale.
  • Nothing about conception.

Cycle Ally is a personal log. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Not for contraception. Talk to your clinician before making health decisions.

Your data stays on your iPhone

There is no account to make and no server to send anything to. The app has no networking code at all, and no third-party code of any kind — no analytics, no advertising, no trackers.

  • Your entries are stored on the phone, and go to Apple Health only if you switch that on.
  • Medical data is deliberately kept out of iCloud, and you can keep it out of the iPhone backup too.
  • The backup file you make yourself is encrypted with a password only you know.
  • Face ID can lock the app, and each medication decides for itself whether its reminder says its name on the lock screen.

Questions people ask first

Is it free?

The log is free and stays free: every entry you make, the calendar, medications, visits, lab results, the summary for your clinician, the encrypted backup and the spreadsheet export. Plus is optional and adds depth of history, never a door.

My cycles are very long, or I don't get periods at all. Does it still work?

Yes. A cycle of 94 days is just a cycle here, and “No periods right now” is a state you can set. Nothing counts down, nothing is called late, and the app compares you to nobody.

I forget to log things. Is that a problem?

No. A day you did not fill in is counted as not logged, never as “nothing happened” — and every number you see says how many days it was actually built from. You can also take a break and stop logging entirely without losing anything.

Can I show this to my doctor?

That is what it is for. The summary puts your cycle lengths, your most logged symptoms with their day counts, your medications with dose changes, and the questions you wrote down for this visit onto a few pages you can print or share.

What do you do with my data?

Nothing — it never reaches us. The app has no networking code, no account and no third-party code. We cannot read your entries, and neither can anyone else.

Will it tell me whether something is wrong with my cycles?

No, and it never will. It does not diagnose, does not call a cycle irregular or late, and does not show a fertile window or work out a dose. It counts what you wrote down; the reading is your clinician's job.

Can I bring history from another app?

Yes, from Apple Health — periods and symptoms, with a preview of what will be added before anything is written. Days you already logged are kept as you logged them.

What if I change my mind?

Delete everything, and it goes from the phone immediately and permanently — entries, photographs, attachments, saved summaries and settings. There is no copy anywhere else.
