Your 4, 8 and 12-week check-ins

After you start a medication or change its dose, the app offers a short report at four, eight and twelve weeks: the same counts, block by block. Plus

Why those weeks

Because they are when the question is usually asked. A clinician who starts metformin says “come back in three months”; this is the sheet you bring.

What is in a block

The report opens with Other changes in this period — other medications started or stopped, dose steps, states beginning or ending — before a single count, for the same reason it comes first in before and after.

Four columns, each 28 days: the four weeks before the change, then weeks 1–4, 5–8 and 9–12 after it. For each block:

  • days you logged symptoms — a rating, or “nothing today”,
  • days with bleeding,
  • days with a side effect of that medication,
  • a row per symptom with the number of days it was above None — your own number trackers are left out, because “3.2 litres” has no None to count above,
  • anxiety on a row of its own, counted against its own base.

Thin blocks are named

A block with fewer than five logged days, or fewer than half its days logged, is marked as thin. It is still shown — you logged what you logged — but the app says outright that it is not a comparison to read anything into.

The reminder

If you want it, the app offers the report on the day each block closes. It is one notification, the words are always the same — “A check-in is ready.” — and it names no medication at all. Only medications you are still taking get one, and at most twenty are scheduled. It can be switched off with every other reminder.
