The timeline

Care → Timeline. Everything on one axis: periods, medications, states, visits, lab results and the days you tagged.

What each thing looks like

  • Periods — bars on their own row.
  • Medications — a bar each, paler for supplements, with a diamond where a dose changed.
  • Side effects — one row of their own, covering any medication. Over longer spans the triangles are grouped by week, fortnight or month, with a count above the mark.
  • States — hormonal contraception, pregnancy, breastfeeding, no periods — each a row like the rest, drawn as a thinner grey bar.
  • Tagged days — sick, travel, stress, medication change — on their own row, marked with a plus.
  • Visits and lab results — marks on their own rows, each with a legend symbol as well as a colour.

What changed, in words

Below the chart the same span is listed as text: the dates, what changed on each of them, and the value of any lab result. The picture shows where things sit; the list says what they were.

Why it exists

Because “I started metformin around the time the acne flared, or was it after the pill?” is a question no list answers and one picture does. It is also the part of the summary clinicians read first after the questions.

How far back

In the app you choose the span yourself — three, six or twelve months — and it opens on twelve. That is free. In the summary PDF the timeline covers three months, and twelve with Plus. A year is the span where starting a medicine and the cycles after it fit in the same picture.
