Doses, changes and reminders
A dose you expect today appears on the Today screen. Tap Taken, or swipe the row to skip it.
Taken, skipped, or nothing
Three states, kept apart like everything else here. Taken records the time. Skip is an answer, not a failure — it is recorded as a skip, and nothing ever calls it missed. Leaving it alone means the dose is simply not marked.
Taken asks one short question first — “When did you take it?”, with Just now and the scheduled time — and nothing is written until you answer. To skip or to undo, swipe the row from the right-hand edge. The screen says so itself: “Swipe a dose left to skip it, or to undo it once it's marked.”
After midnight
If you mark an evening dose at half past midnight, it goes to yesterday's evening, not to the new day. The app looks for an unmarked evening slot from the day before whenever you mark something before 4 am.
From the lock screen
A reminder carries Taken, Skip and three ways to be reminded later — in ten, thirty or sixty minutes. Tapping one works even before the phone is unlocked: the tap is written down and applied the moment you open the app. That file holds no medication name and no dose — only an identifier, the day, which slot it was and when you tapped — so nothing readable sits outside the app's own storage.
The widget on the home screen has Taken and Undo — there is no Skip there. Marking from the widget is Plus; seeing it is free.
Changing the dose
All medications → the medication → Change dose. Give the new dose and the day it changed. The old dose stays in the history: the app knows what you were taking in July even after you change it in September, and the summary prints “500 mg from Apr 20 → 1000 mg from May 20”.
A change dated in the future is refused — it has not happened yet.
Reminders
Off until you switch one on. Then:
- reminders on the Every day and Days of the week schedules only,
- one reminder per time of day,
- an optional second reminder later, if the first was not answered,
- the body is always the same words, “Time for a check-in”, and the title carries the medication's name and dose — “Metformin · 500 mg” — unless you switch that off on the medication itself.
A dose you already marked never gets a reminder. Stopping or pausing a medication cancels its reminders the same moment, and taking a break silences all of them at once.
