Delete everything

Settings → Delete all data, a section of its own at the foot of Settings. It opens a screen, not an alert: it offers to make a backup first, then asks you to switch on I understand my data will be deleted permanently, and only then is the red button live.

What is erased

  • The whole database: every period, symptom, tracker, day, medication, dose, side effect, visit, lab result, check-up, home test, photograph and note.
  • Every file the app made: saved summaries, exports, attachments.
  • Your settings and your profile.

The app returns to a first launch: the built-in symptom list is back, and nothing of yours is left.

Apple Health

Apple Health is left alone — the screen says so in as many words. What Cycle Ally wrote there stays until you remove it in the Health app, and samples other apps wrote were never ours to touch. The app does not claim to have cleaned up something it did not.

What we cannot delete for you

Files you already sent somewhere: a PDF you emailed, a backup you saved to a cloud drive, a spreadsheet on your laptop. Those are yours to find.

An iCloud device backup made before the deletion may still contain the old data until it is replaced; that is Apple's backup of your phone.

It cannot be undone

There is no recycle bin and no copy on our side to restore from — we never had one. If you might want it later, make a backup file first. The screen offers that as the first button, for exactly this reason.
