Side effects
Open the day — on Today, or by double-tapping a day in the calendar — and each medication you take that day has its own section there. Under it, Side effects folds open: rate what you noticed from a short list or in your own words, on the same None–Severe scale. The medication's own card shows the counts back to you, over the last 90 days.
Why they are attached to the medication
Because that is the question you will be asked: “did the nausea settle?”. Side effects belong to the medication, appear on its card, and are counted in its 4, 8 and 12-week check-ins and in the summary.
They are not in the symptom list, and they do not mix with it. A symptom is something you have; a side effect is something you noticed about a medicine.
What the app does with them
Counts the days. On the medication's card, one line per side effect over the last 90 days. In the check-in report there is a single Side effect days row per block — days with any side effect of that medication, not one row per name.
It never says the medicine caused them, never says they are improving, and never suggests changing anything. The counts are yours to take to the person who prescribed it.
On the timeline
The timeline has one Side effects row of its own, covering any medication — not a mark over each medication's bar. Over longer spans the marks are grouped by week, fortnight or month with a count above them, so a cluster in the first weeks is visible at a glance.
